Ack. Yup, and the error is registered in the bug tracker for phpbb3 - no fix yet. We'll be living with this one for a few months, I suspect. -__-

In the meantime, I've updated the smiley display, so that they *all* show on the main page. It's a bit crowded, but at least you can see them!

I'm attempting to edit a message, but when I click "Preview" I get this error: Your message contains too few characters.
The message is by no means a short one. If anything, it's probably the longest post I have. I haven't actually clicked submit in fear of losing not only the changes, but the original post. Oddly enough when I click preview on this new post, it displays fine...

Edit: When I removed part of my post (a few paragraphs) I was able to preview fine. Could it be I've gone over the character limit for a post? If so, the error message seems rather opposite of what it should be.

Confusing! I'll have a dig and see if there's anything in the known issues for phpbb3 about this, but it sounds like you figured out what's going on. I probably won't be able to do much about it if that's the case...

When trying to change my avatar to the new one Kaie made me, I get the following error:

"Image file type mismatch: expected extension png but extension jpg given."

I thought jpgs were allowed for avatars?

If you're copying from my image host (tinypic) it converts the original PNG image (which I use for making most of my graphics) to a jpg image. But the forum gets all confused and sees the image as a PNG image still. You can just change the extension to .png in the avatar box and it should be all good
