Pledge of Good Ownership
Some owners require that you recite this pledge to them or have it somewhere in your shop or lookup. Others just want you to say it to yourself and mean it. Regardless, we strongly feel that you should take this pledge and live by your promise before adopting a pet from us. Also, we recommend that you read our Adoption FAQ before adopting. Without further ado, here is the pledge:

"If I am chosen, I, (your name) , pledge to be the best owner I can be for my new Neopet, (pet's name) . I understand all the sadness that he/she has already been through, and so I will provide everything he/she needs to be happy. I promise to be a friend to my new Neopet and never ever ever put him/her through the pain of neglect or abandonment again."
