 Get help applying for adoptees!
Many have problems requesting for adoptees, and all our foster owners know well what it's like to get pathetic applications. The Request Evaluators are here to help solve both problems! Submit your draft adoption application (a.k.a. request) to one of our evaluators, and they will write back with advice on how to make it better. You can also submit general questions in the same neomail. After you get your evaluation, you are allowed to submit one more draft and/or questions for one last evaluation. You're on your own after that. ;)
Please be polite when "hiring" an evaluator and take their advice how you will. Evaluators are not responsible for getting you an adoptee or writing any part of your application for you -- that's up to you -- they only give advice and answer general application questions.
Note: Your evaluator will log your username and any notes in a public journal.
Requirements before "hiring" an evaluator:
- Must read/meet the requested adoptee's requirements (if any)
- Must read the Adoption FAQ
- Must take the Pledge of Good Ownership

Hey! I'm Eileen and I am here to evaluate your application. By looking over your application, I may be able to pick out things that you missed or just give you tips on how to make it better. I can give you tips on how to improve the content, spelling, grammar, layout, and much more.

Hello, I'm Jenn. Do you need help tweaking that app? Advice on what else to include? Someone else to proofread? You've come to the right place!
To have me evaluate your application, you can either neomail me or, if you're a TNO forum member, PM me. If you have a forum name, I'd prefer a PM.
I promise to evaluate your application to the best of my ability as soon as possible, to be polite to you even if I'm a little harsh, to not show anyone else your app, and to help you as much as I can in getting the pet of your dreams. In return, please:
1. Don't ask me to evaluate a request for my own foster
2. Treat me with respect and understand that I have school, sports, and homework
3. Give me time to evaluate it; don't ask me to evaluate it with a day or two until the deadline (give me perhaps a week or so, especially if I have one or two on the waiting list)
Also, if you run it through a spellchecker on a typing program such as AppleWorks or Microsoft Word, that might help me get it back to you faster because simple mistakes should be caught. It's not a requirement, but it's a good idea.
Remember that I can't ensure you'll get the pet; I can only help you improve your application. I am not a miracle-worker. (This goes for foster parents too- if I've evaluated an app you think is "bad", it's not my fault.)
