TNO Member's Charter

As members of TNO, we are committed to the guild mission; to its principles and spirit. Likewise, we are committed to creating a community where the kind-hearted Neopians who uphold this mission can feel valued, respected, safe and supported as they endeavour to prove to Neopia that cruelty is always unacceptable.

In our behaviour towards our Neopets we will constantly strive to:

Treat all pets, whether permanent or foster, with respect and care.

Treat each pet as an individual: not as a colour, not as an avatar, not as a trophy.

Never adopt or create pets lightly, but always with thoughtfulness and care. We will only take a pet into our home if we can commit to working towards a permanent loving home for them, or can offer them one with ourselves.

Never create any pet that we are not committed to always taking care of ourselves.

Remember the risks of the pound and never endanger our pets needlessly by passing them about, from account to account.

Never abandon any pet that has entered our care, either to neglect or to the pound.

In our behaviour towards our fellow Neopians we will constantly try to:

Be a model of the principles and values TNO stands for, to show Neopia that good and honest Neopians can be found.

Remember that we are a representative of TNO, and of foster parents generally, whenever we deal with an applicant for one of our fosters. We will not be pushed around, but likewise, we will treat applicants with dignity and respect.

In our behaviour towards our fellow members of TNO we will always try to:

Treat them with politeness, respect and understanding.

Never take advantage of their generous and giving nature, have good faith in all our dealings with them, and never seek our own advantage at the expense of theirs.

In our behaviour as a member of TNO generally we will:

Follow the Guild rules, Neopets terms and conditions, and the dictates of conscience to the best of our ability.
